Sheryle and Vicki arrived in Windsor yesterday and have already logged many miles of sightseeing in the Queen's 'hood, and Carol arrived this afternoon just in time to saunter up to the castle and back
before Sheryle and Vicki returned from touring the castle and the adjoining (across the Thames River by footbridge) towns of Windsor and Eton, where they saw the students in their Harry Potter gowns dashing around the campus.
After our scheduled rendezvous at the hotel, we headed out again, first retracing our steps up to the castle in order to have a great dinner in a pub, followed by another jaunt over the bridge to Eton,
where the students had now traded academic gowns for soccer and crew uniforms.
Eton is even more charming than Windsor,
with this building claiming to date back to about 1420 (they have tenant records dating back to the 1470's).
We posed for our first picture together just before the sleep deprivation hit and we headed back to the hotel for a good night's sleep to rest up for tomorrow's adventure in driving on the wrong side of the road.
